24 Hour Salad with Fluffy Date Dressing
A simple fruit salad is dressed up with a cooked fluffy date dressing. Canned fruit never tasted so good!
Dressing
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 cup Lemon Juice
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Dates cut
- 1 cup Whipping Cream
Salad
- 2 cups White Cherries canned, pitted and halved
- 2 cups Pineapple Chunks well drained
- 1 cup fresh orange chunks or
- 1 cup mandarin orange sections
- 16 Marshmallows quartered
Fluffy Date Dressing
Beat eggs on top of double boiler. Blend in lemon juice, sugar, and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick. Remove from heat and cool. Whip cream and fold in with dates. Serve over fresh fruit salads or use in 24 Hour Salad, makes about 3 cups
