In which I ask a procedural question.
This recipe looks delicious, or would if I had any idea how to make it. Â Normally, the recipes that are lists of ingredients don’t bother me. Â I know how to make a cake, I know how to make cookies. Â These? Â I don’t know if I am supposed to combine the peanut butter and condensed milk? Â Do I make balls and dip them in the chocolate? Â Do I combine all of the ingredients and it’s supposed to be like fudge? Â Anyone? Â Bueller?
Looks like fudge to me.
So…? Mix it all up?
I’m guessing you make balls, put them in the freezer, and dip them in melted chocolate. This should not eliminate the possibility that you spread the peanut butter it in a dish, chill it and spread the chocolate over the top
My guess is to mix it together and see what the texture is, as t forming balls or pour into a pan. If you are melting chocolate with the sugar, I would say that is definately NOT for dipping
I’m with Holley ^^. I would interpret that as “mix the PB with the condensed milk”, then the chocolate would be some kind of coating. I would do it in a pan and make them bars or squares.
I found out on another site that you are supposed to melt the chocolate in a double boiler then add all the indredients to the melted chocolate then stir until it forms walnut sized balls. It seems like a crazy recipe to me. It makes it’s own balls when stirred?
Link?
This looks like the recipe I have for three ingredient fudge that uses chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. You melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, with the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla poured over them (I add the vanilla after melting) and stir until smooth, pour into and 8X8 pan and chill. I use parchment so you can flip it out onto a cutting board and cut into small squares. You don’t want more than a half inch square at a time because it’s so rich. I would melt the chips and sweetened condensed milk in the microwave or double boiler and then add the peanut butter and pour into a pan, chill in the fridge or freezer for at least an hour and see what the consistency is. If it’s solid, you’ve got the “Reese’s fudge” version of the three ingredient fudge. If you search 3 ingredient fudge on google you get all sorts of variations of this.
Interesting. It’s crazy how many ways a list of ingredients can be combined to make different variations of a thing.
One recipe does involve pouring into a pan, so you can scoop balls out with an ice cream scoop or melon baller and then dust with cocoa powder or powdered sugar, to make truffles. That might work with this.
